Paul Trowe has been in the video game industry for over 30 years now. He's worked at Sierra Online since 1984 when he was 12 years old and graduated college with a degree in International Relations and went on to work for Activision and then Atari before starting his own video game companies. He sold Pulse Interactive in 2006 after winning the Best Mobile Game of E3 in 2005 for Quake Mobile. He now runs Replay Games and recently had a hit game called Leisure Suite Larry Reloaded which they funded through Kickstarter. Here are some press clippings: Forbes.com wired.com Mashable.com Eurogamer.net Finally, here is his LinkedIn profile: www.LinkedIn.com/in/ptrowe Over the last 4 years he has traveled the world speaking about how to use Kickstarter and IndieGoGo to fund game development. Replay was one of the first game companies to get financing through Kickstarter and Leisure Suit Larry was the very first game to launch. When he travels, he meets a lot of game developers and look for games to publish. He would be very interested to speak at TGC on how to successfully fund your game as well as speak with game developers that are interested in bringing their games to the West for Replay to publish.
How to successfully crowd fund your next game
Without funds from a publisher, it's virtually impossible to create the game you envision. With sites like Kickstarter and IndieGoGo, hear from one of the first successful developers to not only crowd fund, but also ship the game to their backers.
Independent developers that do not have enough money to create their own game and have been turned down by publishers.
