90 video games have been submitted by 8 countries to enroll in the first TGC Gamistan Awards.

90 games from Iran, India, Pakistan, Armenia, Turkey, Bahrain, Egypt, and Azerbaijan have been submitted for enrollment in TGC2018 as well as Gamistan Awards; of which 14 are foreign and 76 are Iranian titles.

Of the total number of submitted products 65 are mobile games and the remaining 25 titles are created for PC.

Upon primary evaluation of the games by the jury committee, 51 mobile games and 16 PC games (47 altogether) have been approved of to enter the competition.

10 members of the Gamistan Awards jury, which is made up of international publishers and distributers have also been announced and are currently working together to select the best games of all the nominees.

The nominees for the Gamistan Awards are set to be announced on June 5, 2018 on TGC website. The nominees will be granted free pass for the event. The winners of the competition will be announced on July 6, 2018 at TGC2018 closing ceremony.

The 10-member board of advisory for the second Tehran Game Convention is consist of 5 Iranian and 5 international prominent game developers.

The appointed advisory board is responsible with coordination and management of the 80 conferences and the technical workshops as well as with selection of speakers for the conferences.

The advisory board of TGC 2018 is made up of 10 members with each main TGC topic including Game Design, Artistry, Technicality, Project Management, and Business assigned with 1 Iranian and 1 foreign member of the board.

Sajad BeigJani of Avid Studio and Mike Acton of Unity will cover the Technical section. Independent concept designer, Faraz Shaniar and Peter Ridgway of King are assigned to Artistry.

Game Design is overseen by Shahab Keshavarz of RoyaGaran and Rayna Anderson of Eidos-Montreal, Farzam Malek Ara of Tose’gar Shabihsaz and Natalie Beauguerlange of Riot Games will supervise Project Management, and Ali Nad Ali Zadeh of Tuned on Digital and Julien Dulioust of CCP will administer the Business section of TGC 2018.

More than 120 speeches by international and Iranian speakers have been submitted on TGC website and the advisory board is responsible with selecting the finest of for the conferences.

TGC 2018 is to be held on July 5th and 6th 2018 at IRIB International Conference Center.

Extension of submission deadline for Gamistan Awards 2018

The deadline for submission of games for Gamistan Awards 2018 is extended by a week, until Friday, April 27, 2018.

Due to multiple demands, the deadline for submission of products for the 2nd Gamistan Awards is extended by one week.

More than 60 games from Iran, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Bahrain, and Egypt have already been submitted for enrollment in Gamistan Awards. These countries all fall in the territory of Gamistan Awards, which is made up of 33 countries in total.

10 members of the Gamistan Awards jury, who are representatives of international publishers and distributers of video games have been announced and are set to choose the winners of this round of the competition once the submission deadline of the award met.

Gamistan seeks to create opportunities for developers aiming to meet international publishers and buyers and enter the global market. Thus, the members of the jury have been hand-selected to meet the main objective of the event and are chosen from a list of major international publishers, distributers and buyers. Many of such companies are internationally recognized and therefore the event is a great opportunity for game developers to try their luck with different international publishers.

The nominees for the award will be announced on TGC website on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, granting them with free passes to the main event. The winners of the award will be announced and praised on Friday, July 6, 2018 at TGC closing ceremony.

The 33 Asian and African countries of the Gamistan Territory shall now enroll their games for the Gamistan Awards.

The second international TGC event as the biggest commercial and scientific convention of the region to be held on July 5th and 6th at IRIB International Conference Center hosts the competition “Gamistan Awards”.

Gamistan is a theoretical territory made up 33 Asian and African countries from India to Morocco, from Kazakhstan to Yemen, Turkey and Egypt. The list consists of countries with young and creative teams and developing video games industries. More than 2 billion people reside in Gamistan, 40 percent of whom play games on a daily basis.

The main objective of Gamistan Awards is to create opportunities for developers who are looking to find publishers, distributers or investors for their projects. The enrolled games meeting the requirements and perquisites of nomination will be put to judgement and evaluation by pioneer international publishers.

Candidates shall enroll their products from Tuesday, March 6, 2018 to Saturday, April 14, 2018. The selected nominees will be listed on TGC website on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 with the winner announced and honored at TGC 2018 ending ceremony on Friday, July 6, 2018.

The registration process for participation in Tehran Game Convention 2018 has set off with a Super Early Bird discount of 30% off!

As reported by the public relations of Iran Video Games Foundation, participation of 2300 attendees, 120 booths and 60 international and domestic speakers in TGC 2017 has turned the convention into the greatest commercial and scientific event of the video games industry in the Middle East.

The second TGC is set to be held on July 5th and 6th at IRIB International Conference Center with the registration period for attendance at the event starting from February 26, 2018.

“There are three types of passes with access to conferences, access to technical workshops and conferences, and commercial passes with access to conferences and Meeting Application. In addition, booths are available for booking at difference sizes and areas.” said TGC 2018 project manager, Saloumeh Ashtari in a press conference on Monday February 26th.

She added that “purchasing of the passes by April 9th will qualify for a 30-percent discount. Also purchases by May 23rd will grant 20 percent off the pass price. College students enrolling in groups can enjoy a 50-percent discount on their purchase.”

TGC 2018 hosts 80 conferences by 50 international and 30 domestic speakers, and in order to maximize participation in the conferences, the technical workshops are scheduled to be held one day prior to the commencement of the convention.
